Food Sensitivity Testing – Lifestyle, Eating, and Performance “LEAP”

LEAP is the acronym for the Disease Management Program called “Lifestyle, Eating and Performance” for symptoms including: GERD, IBS, migraine, fibromyalgia and inflammatory conditions which are often triggered by adverse reactions to foods and chemicals

LEAP/MRT involves:

  •  Initial assessment for appropriateness of LEP/MRT testing. (This is based on symptoms; ability and readiness to follow the nutrition protocol,  ability to work with a LEAP therapist to be sure they know HOW to do/follow their LEAP diet.)
  • MRT (Mediator Release Test) blood Testing – Local drawing of blood in a MRT Specimen Mailer. Shipping of blood specimen to the Florida Laboratory (It is a privately held, patented test and not available at regular laboratories.)
  • Implementing their LEAP Oligo-antigenic diet based on their MRT results AND their clinical history to personalize the diet based on lifestyle, eating habits, cooking habits, income, etc..
  •  Monitoring and follow up on a regular schedule to rule out non-MRT reactions to foods.

PNT LEAP/MRT protocol:

  1. Review of symptoms/ assessment/recommendation for testing
  2. MRT testing
  3. 2 60 minute RD consults with a LEAP certified RD

Program cost:
MRT test (paid directly to Signet laboratories) – may be covered by insurance
RD/CLT Consult:  2 consults (additional consults available – short or extended)
