Diabetes Awareness, Wellness and Nutrition (DAWN) Program
A new diabetes detection and management program for TI insureds offered by Professional Nutrition Therapists (PNT)
The diabetes detection and management program is being offered to TI insureds. The program is called Diabetes Awareness, Wellness and Nutrition (DAWN) Program.
The TI intervention program is provided by Professional Nutrition Therapists (PNT). PNT , a preferred provider health services organization, has been TI's approved preferred nutrition services provider during the past 8 years.
The DAWN program is provided in addition to the general medical nutrition therapy service. This new program is certainly the DAWN of a new era in the detection and treatment of diabetes.
The goal of this program is to enable you to control your diabetes in such a manner that you avoid the rapid progression of the disease. If not controlled, diabetes can lead to very serious complications including kidney disease, blindness, lower limb amputation, hearing loss, and heart disease.
